Who Is Azita?
I’m Azita Abdollahian, a Consultant Social Worker and Psychotherapist—and the heart behind Carnelian House Retreats and The Project of You. My life’s work has always centered around healing—healing that empowers, connects, and transforms.
My journey began in the frontlines—working alongside refugees, survivors of domestic violence, and those facing homelessness. These profound experiences taught me about the resilience of the human spirit and ignited a deep calling in me to create spaces where people could not only survive—but truly come home to themselves.
This calling has evolved into something I cherish deeply: facilitating group retreats that offer meaningful healing through shared experience. I believe that something powerful happens when we come together in community. We find mirrors in each other’s stories. We find compassion, insight, and the kind of courage that only emerges when we realize we are not alone.
At Carnelian House Retreats, healing is not limited to one modality. It is a sacred blend—a bridge between the scientific and the spiritual. My work integrates trauma-informed group therapy, nervous system education, and evidence-based psychological approaches, alongside the soulful wisdom of sound healing, meditation, and movement. This is where the mind meets the body, and science meets soul.
My retreats are intimate, immersive, and intentionally designed to support you on your healing path. Whether you're navigating relationship challenges, stress, anxiety, burnout, or the weight of old wounds, this is a space where you are gently held, deeply seen, and powerfully supported.
I believe healing is not a one-size-fits-all journey. It requires tenderness, curiosity, community, and a willingness to meet yourself honestly. And that’s exactly what we do together at Carnelian House.
This is more than a retreat. It’s a return to your true self.
Welcome home.
